Reimagining The Daily Texan’s visual identity.

As The Daily Texan’s Senior Digital Designer, I defined and enforced the publication’s visual identity across platforms and mediums. In recent semesters, our content has reached greater audiences than ever before; adjusting our brand to reflect this new relationship with our audience is a key priority of The Daily Texan.

Over the past year, I’ve created and implemented a design system that prioritizes ease of access to information, clear organization, and a visual language that highlights the work of our multimedia teams. These changes have been informed through extensive market research of other publications, and have evolved as we understand the needs of our audience.

Through this role, I have also collaborated with other departments in order to enforce a consistent brand across all products. Most recently, I have worked with the Newsletter team to bring a new look to two of their products: The Daily Digest and Tailgating with Texas. These shifts have been implemented with the intention of enhancing reader experience and reflecting the tone of each product.
